First Alert Professional Authorized Dealers are extremely concerned with the
safety of their customers and communities. That’s why Honeywell and First Alert
Professional are committed to developing relationships with other organizations
that prioritize life safety.
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children The
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is the nation’s
leading resource dedicated to protecting our most precious resource – children.
The center leads national efforts to recover missing children and raise public
awareness about preventing child abduction and sexual exploitation. Since it was
created in 1984, NCMEC has handled more than 1.8 million calls on its toll-free
hotline, trained more than 202,000 law- enforcement and other professionals,
assisted with more than 100,000 missing children cases, and helped reunite more
than 85,000 missing children with their families. Many First Alert Professional
Dealers are trained as NCMEC ambassadors.
Got 2B Safe Honeywell and the National Center for
Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) are partnering in the area of child
safety. Got 2B Safe! Think Smart and Take Charge! is an abduction prevention
program for elementary school students. The program includes activities designed
to teach 3rd and 4th graders simple rules that can increase their personal
safety. Got 2B Safe was distributed to more than 72,000 schools to teach our
children critical and potentially life-saving rules.
McGruff-National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC)
NCPC
believes that crime can and should be prevented. They believe that truly
effective prevention requires addressing causes of crime and reducing
opportunities for it to occur. One of the ways they work to support this effort
is to partner with organizations that are actively involved in the local
community. First Alert Professional and its dealers support the NCPC by working
with local law enforcement to help bring comprehensive crime prevention action
plans to the local community.
KlaasKids Foundation The
KlaasKids Foundation was
established in 1994 to give meaning to the death of Marc Klaas' twelve-year-old
daughter kidnap and murder victim Polly Hannah Klaas and to create a legacy in
her name that would be protective of children for generations to come. Many
First Alert Professional authorized dealers participate in KlaasKids
Print-A-Thon's that utilize 21st Century technology. At these events, the
Foundation fingerprints and photographs children, provides their parents with
DNA Collection Kits, pro-active child safety information; and a nine-point plan
on what to do if children disappear. |
